Nanette Karpetian, PsyD, LCSW received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from University of California, Irvine.  She completed her masters degree in Social Work at University of California, Los Angeles.  After many years in private practice, she received her doctoral degree in psychoanalysis at the New Center for Psychoanalysis (NCP) in Los Angeles.  NCP is the only institute in Los Angeles that is recognized by the American Psychoanalytic Association.

While currently in private practice for approximately 18 years, Dr. Karapetian has multiple areas of specialty including:
